About CCT - Who benefits?
Although we may not be aware of it, when relationships are under stress
it can affect almost every aspect of our daily life. Relationship counselling
is not only about resolving personal problems, but about being more effective
in stressful situations and other important areas of life.
Our experience has shown:
 |
Couples/individuals - clients who attend for counselling
can resolve problems and strengthen their relationship |
 |
Children - who become innocent victims and pawns of parental
conflict, underachieve at school, and may lose contact with one parent
when the family is split |
 | Employers - stress leads to lack of concentration and inability
to work effectively; by resolving problems, stress is relieved, work improves and absenteeism decreases |
 |
Health - stress is a major health problem causing mental
and physical disorders or even abuse - counselling reduces stress |
 |
Housing - by enabling the couple/individual to resolve problems
over 70% of families stay together thus putting less pressure on scarce
housing resources |
 |
Economy - At local and national level: pressure
is reduced on financial/practical resources and government financial
support for separated families |
We believe relationships are important. With the right skills and insight,
counselling can improve relationships and make family life more stable.
