About CCT - Our team

Counsellors

Our counsellors are carefully selected and undertake a three-year training course provided by Couple Counselling Scotland. Compulsory supervision and continuing professional development for all counsellors form part of maintaining high ethical, professional standards. Counsellors also adhere to the standards laid down by BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and COSCA (Confederation of Scottish Counselling Agencies).

Initial Interviewers

Initial interviewers are carefully selected and trained to carry out initial interviews with clients prior to counselling. Compulsory supervision and continuing professional development again form part of maintaining standards as well as compliance with codes of ethics.

Support Staff

Finally, administration staff and receptionists play an essential role in providing administrative support in each Centre. Initial and continuing training ensure support and professionalism are part of service provision.

Confidentiality

Everyone who works at CCT is bound by our Code of Confidentiality. No-one will divulge information about you to anyone outside the organisation unless your written consent has been obtained. The only exception is if we believe someone else is at risk or you are acting unlawfully.
